i work for an airline as a crewmember with an EAD and AP (filed concurrently with i-485, etc.). flew to canada for an overnight trip and came back. immigration officer was not sure what to do when i showed my AP,
he then asked for my passport and saw a crew visa (C1/D) which is still valid (issued by the previous airline i worked for overseas) and scanned that instead. i insisted that he uses my AP but i was told that it's ok to use my visa. question is... how does this affect my AOS? does this completely cancel everything? will the INS acknowledge that i do have an AP it's just that this stupid immigration offcicer didn't know what to do with it?
