Hi,
I almost read most of the threads in this forum. Thanks everybody for your useful information. However, There is a question that I never found any detailed information about.
I know that if someone who has won the DV is in the USA can do either of AOS or CP. CP is faster though for AOS you do not need to travel. However, I heard that sometimes there are long lines for the USCIS which we need to file for AOS at. Since there is a deadline for DV which is Sep. 30th, I am afraid if I file for AOS, I miss it.
Now I need your help. My case number is AS9XXX which should be current in January. I live in Maryland under F1 visa. And traveling is not very easy since I am a student, however, if I know there is a chance that I miss the deadline for Sep 30th I would travel. Which way do you suggest me to go for?AOS or CP?Is there any chance they reject someone in CP but not in AOS?!How long does it usually take since your case number become current and you send your documents to USCIS till they give you interview appointment?!
Please help me. It is such a difficult situation for deciding!I really don't want to miss any chances.
Thanks and reagrds
