There are some differences between leaving the country voluntarily and escaping the country. Don't do that. You will probably run into questioning if you became illegal in the US when you leave the country. And there will be a bar to re-entry into the US depending upon how long have you been illegal. 180 days or less, 3 years otherwise 10 years.

Don't burn you bridges while you leave. Even if you receive the punihsment, there will be slight flicker of hope in future.

Hey man, Assylee... you totally called me on that, good for you. I deserved that. My bad. In all honesty though, I only did it coz Lazer brought India into the discussion when it wasn't even being discussed. It got me mad and I broke. Again, thanks for calling me on it. I'm the first to admit when I'm wrong. I'm going to shut up on this subject now :)
