How to check Status in PERM Filing

Is there any way to find out your case status thru PERM. As my lawyer is not providing me with any information.

Yes, I have BS+5, they put req as BS+5 or MS+1.

MY lawyer took enough time (2-3 months) to file as PERM has lots of problem initially.

I had put EB2 regular on March 25th 2005, initially planned to keep the priority date. Later lawyer told it would take more time to get it through, i might better of loosing couple of month priority dates. even though couple of months is cruicial now, but i had to weight faster processing v/s priority date.

Did you file at Chicago or Atlanta?

Filed PERM application on July 1st. The status changed to "Sponsorship" almost immiediately, but no email yet.

Some of the questions that come to my mind that everyone will be interested in knowing ongoing.

1) How many PERM applications have been filed under EB2 / EB3
2) How many are approved so far EB2/EB3
3) What is the processing time.
4) Same data for Conversions.
5) I am also interested in findinging out how many applied without withdrawing the traditional apps.

Just like the trackers in other forum, can we create a forum ?. If enuff people think its an idea, I can put together a spreadsheet.

I filed on 7/5. The lawyer said fast sponsorship emails might come 20 minutes after submit. Seems it's not happening for lots of us here.

I feel like DOL do things in batch. 3 weeks ago everybody was stuck in "Audit Review", then all of sudden they all changed to "Final Review" in a day and some lucky guys got approval now. Let's see what's the fate of our batch...

Please kep up updated. many are in a similar situation. I even called the Atlanta DOL and they told it will take couple of days. but i am not giving much importance to her statement as she sounded like a receipentist. I did read in this forum that within 7 days either you will get an e-mail or DOL will call your employer and ask those 4 questions.

I visited USA on visitor visa in July 2002 and then after a couple of mths i got married and my status changed to H4 very easily. Later, my H4 got renewed very easily too from here. I am planning a trip to visit my family in Pakistan, this year and needed to know if i could have any complications since I changed my status and also my husband's H1 visa is also not stamped.

any help in this matter will be greatly appreciated.

My case was filed on Jul05. My employer received sponsorship e-mail and replied immediately, and status has been changed to "Audit Review"

So your new h4 is not stamped? and you will be applying new visa in pakistan based upon your approved H4??

If thats the case. Then I think you should be fine.

Its better to apply separate from your husband. Because for Male Paksitani national they have background check. Which takes months.

If you apply alone you will be getting it sooner.

Withdrawn before PERM

Congratulations PERM 2010 on getting your approval. I understand you had a RIR EB2 applied on March 25. Did you EXPLICITLY withdraw that app before you applied PERM. Or you just applied a NEW PERM leaving the march 25th application undisturbed. this information will be very crucial for me as I am in the sixth year of h1. Please help .

My employer/lawyer told me that my regular EB2 applied on March25-2005 will be withdrawn before applying for PERM EB2. I believe them, but I dont know what is the status of withdrawal.

Could you or anyone tell, if I am able to apply 485 this month and next month retrogration happens prior to my priority date, should I get EAD approved or renewed for the future. Thanks

Hello PERM2010.

Congradulations. Get prepared with Immigration physicacl check and Birth affidavits for you (and your spouse if married) to file by the end of this month. When I last heard regarding my PERM LC on July 1st my application was also in Final review. filed on 14th June but denied and picked up on 26th with the rerun. I might get a audit because of Masters + 2 years requirement. Lets see.

Anyway, do you have any idea about EAD issue, could it be approved if retrogression happens after applying (As explained above)

2) Once you submit the application how long it takes to know whether it's approved or not?
3) For EB2 which option is better (BS+5 years or MS+2 years)

Hello All I need help here in trying to understand what should be expected.

My Lawyer filed my Wife's PERM application online on 07/02, we have still not received the ETA no and when my Wife's employeer checked online today it did not show any application filed nor have they received the sponcership e-mail yet.

I was under the impression that the sponcership e-mail is generated automatically within 20 mins of applying.

When should we get the ETA no?
When should her employer get the sponcership e-mail?
When should we be able to see the application status online (The Lawyer said after we receive the ETA no)?
