Anybody received Plastic

i know why i didn't get while my wife got it

My lawyer got a letter from BCIS asking for the name to put on the card. Apparently my name was too long for GC (I remember using only the first 18 characters). Anyway my lawyer has replied back with the necessary info.

Good. At least they did not put anything, and had you resend for corrections.

who will receive the card

When I did PPS, I asked the officer to double check my mailing address because I just moved, but she siad the card will be mailed to my lawyer office, is this true?
 
Thats the first I have heard of a Green card being mailed to the attorney...If that was the case why would moving be a problem once you were approved?
 
OUr Case has been updated

Stamped on 17th July, Card ordered on 18th September.....

How long is it taking now to receive card once ordered?

Friends,

Finally, after a considerable wait, I received my card by mail on 9/14.

Passport stamping on: 5/23/03

Thanks to this great site and all of you who helped me in my journey to the plastic. In our family of three, I am the lost to get. Others got almost a month and half back, and I was checking up online status for mine everyday.

Congrats!
I think you were stamped in NYC. It took you approx. 4 months to get the plastic.
Anyone else who was stamped in NYC, around this time to confirm this pattern of (4 months).

DO you have any updates on your plastic card since this posting. I am in the same boat. We did stamping together but only one card has been issued.

no update yet !!!

status still says,"not found in this automated system..."
it's been almost two weeks since my attorney sent my 'shortened name'. hope they don't come up with another innovative question or some thing.
 
Stamped on 8/4/03, no card yet or message changed.
Can I travel canada with the stamp? Do I need to apply for a visa in order to get there or green card holder is enough? Any documents I need to bring? It is only for a long weekend in the middle of October. I heard that if you are F1, H1 or any type of visa holders in US, you need to get visa to get into Canada. But if you return within a month back to US, Visas for US are not required. Not sure about the situations about green card holders.
