Any impacts to brother's daughter visa application if I apply GC for my brother?

Hi friends,

I am a US citizen and plan to apply GC for my brother in China.
His daughter is 16 yrs and plan to apply US student visa next year.
I noticed that in the I-130 form I have to list her name and birth date etc.

Do you think the application of my brother's GC will impact his daughter's student visa application?

I do not think that your brother's GC application will have any negative impact on his daughter's visa. It may be an added advantage to her when she applies for a visa for her father and uncle ( you) will be both legal PR and US citizen respectively. I am not very sure of this, so it is better that you wait for more experienced persons to give their opinions. Good Luck!!
 
Firstly, the father of this prospective student is not a PR yet and will not be one for 15 years if he is sponsored by the uncle of the prospective student.
Secondly, having a father who holds PR status will make it much more difficult for the prospective student to get an F-1 visa.

Your niece will NOT get a visa from the I-130 you file for her father because she is way too old to be included when it finally becomes available in the future. It is irrelevant.

YOU as her USC uncle, might be advantageous IF you will offer her a place to stay and/or any other $$$ help. YOU could complete an I-134 for her to make part of her F-1 case. The I-134 is a non-binding contract but may be viewed as persuasive evidence in a marginal student visa case. Bottom line--- has she got the grades needed to get into a good school?

Should not be, seeing that it will take your brother a good 15 years to immigrate under your sponsorship. However, there are never any guarantees!!!
