Hi All,
My EAD is expiring on February 10th and filed for extension in Dec, 2002. EAD renewal RD : 12-13-2002, ND : 12-19-2002. My attorney said, I can continue working even if I don't get renewed EAD before Feb 11th since I have been working for the same company from the beginning of I-485. As per him, as long as I work for the same company and have a receipt notice of EAD renewal, it will not be a problem.
Can any gurus in this forum confirm it? I would really appreciate your help.

looks like INS is concentrating on GC approvals. I dont knwo what is the meaning of "Current for I-765" but still people are waiting with Nov RD. No body know how ins is working????
Tried today 1000 times to talk with INS officer. It is contionusly engaged. Atlast it connect , the automated message says the office is closed.
Waiting waitinng for EAD approval.

I had the same issue. My prev. EAD expired on Jan 17th. I had to be on admin. leave till I got my new EAD card. I have been working with the same company too since the initiation of my GC process.
But my company lawyer informed that I cant work until I get the new EAD. Infact, they dint allow me to work even after I got an approval letter. I had to wait for the card before I started working again.
Anyway, that was my lawyer!!!
Wish u good luck and hope u get your renewal before the current one expires.

Current EAD expired in second week of Jan 2003. My Wife is continuing her employment with expired EAD and current EAD renewal receipt notice.
As long as you have your renewal petition receipt notice before your current EAD expiration, you can continue your job without any legal problem... This is what my attorney said...
Please update me if any one received approval for this time period...

How much time it will take after it assign to the INS officer.
After trying 1000(day1)+ 1000(day2)+ 50(day3) times, atlast i spoke with VSC INS officer. She told me my case is assigned to officer it will approve in few weeks. Usually how much time it will take after assigning the case to the officer?
did anyone hear same message from them???Still it is pending

My wife's EAD/AP renewal got approved RD: 12/30/02
ND: 01/13/03. But my EAD/AP renewal has not been approved yet. I am the primary I-485 applicant.
Is this unusual ?

EAD renewal was approved on 01/27. Still waiting for AP.

But both I and my husband have very terrible experiences for our 1st EAD card.
Our 1st EAD was approved on 01/15/02. I received my EAD card on 05/27/02, then it was taken about 4.5 months to get my SSN. My husband did not receive his EAD until 11/22/02, although the INS officer called our lawyer and explained that it was their internal problem.
I hope that we can receive our renewal cards on time.

Filed my I-485 (I-140 approved mid-oct 02), AP and EAD applications on Dec 16, 2002.
I have not received any confirmations or receipts for any of the applications as yet. Would like to know of others who have filed around the same date. Mine is a fresh application and not EAD renewal

Mailed Date: 12/24/02
Notice Date: 01/07/03
Receipt Received: 01/22/03
Approved Date: 01/30/03.
Cards Received: ?????

I dont know when my turn will come, I think ur case is approved, as per ur previous posting in this thread.
People who had with later receipt dates are approving. My case still pending. Offcourse some DEC ND are still pending!!!
Hope our cases will aprove soon.
