Hello!

(I hope this is the right place for my thread)

I have been in the U.S. since the beginning of 2005 now. I was inspected by an immigration officer and entered the US with a B-2 Visa.
My husband filed form I-130, the Petion was approved, receiving the approval notice beginning of 2006. Since then, nothing really has happened , shortly after the Approval notice we moved to another state (my husband is in the military). I send the change of address form to USCIS. That was it.........

Until now, I was thinking I was lawfully in the US, because I was inspected by an immigration officer and the petition was approved. I did not know that adjustment of status has to be filed within a certain period of time..........

Help, what do we have to do now??
Am I still able to file for adjustment of status (I-485)??

yes, you need to file for AOS immediately. Enclose a copy of your I-130 approval notice.
Approved I-130 never provides you with a legal status.
 
Yes, my husband is a U.S. Citizen.

I already filled out I-485 along with all the other forms inc. EAD and had the medical done.
Does it make sense, in my case, to even fill out form I-131 to file for Advance Parole??

Okay, I will not apply for AP;)...........

I will have to send the whole I-485 package to the Chicago Lockbox, according to the filing instructions.
We already know, that we will be moving in the end of March to my husbands new duty station, that means we will be living at our current address (the address written on the forms) for about another month.

Do I already include a change of address and provide a new address or do I wait until we have moved and then mail off the Change of Address??
How does it work, do they automatically transfer everything to nearest USCIS service office in the State or is there another form that I will have to fill out, in order to get everything transferred??

I am just trying to get it all right and straigt now:(
