Can somebody tell me what is next? Do I receive the actual document with the approval or what? How long before I receive the AP document? :)

Thank you. This is what I need the most really, I can wait a month for EAD and whatever it takes for the GC. But I really need to travel in July.

So what does it mean? will I receive the AP anytime soon?

Another quick question for the people who have already traveled on AP.

Do I surrender my I-94 (from the last time I came to the US / the one I referred to in my AOS case) or do I keep it with me?

Thanks,

Logically speaking I think you have to surrender your I-94 card since you are still an "Alien". Gosh I hate that term. But I am not sure.

I think your AP is in the mail. It should be the document being mailed to you (we find out by the end of the week) :)

I just got another LUD on my I-131 today... maybe the mailed the approval notice and the documents separately? or something.

I have heard I will need the I-94 during my interview though. So I do not know if I need to keep with or surrender it...

I will be issued a new I-94 with parole when I come back into the US though... but do I need to keep the original I-94 that was issued to me and I put in the petition for AOS or not?

If I were you I'd make a copy of the I-94 surrender it when you leave (as they use it to track you when you come back). I have heard of people getting into trouble for failure to submit I-94 when leaving.

The most important thing is the number thats on it. I think your AP should have a new way of tracking your travels. My guess. & yes I guess a lot. So take it with a pinch of salt.

Hi, My Wife and I want to leave the country for to weeks. What did you put on as the reason for advance parole

good for you!
did you got your FP done before the AP approval?

Yes, my fingerprints were done May 25, the AP was approved June 19.

Also, I checked the option: I am applying for an advance parole document to allow me to return to the United States after temporary foreign travel.

I did not write a reason anywhere. There is no need for it. I did put it the date for my trip as July 15th.

I-131 Approved.

Just now received an email thats identical to Preatorian's. AP is approved.

1 down 3 to go.

There is not a field in the I-131 that asks "what is the reason for your advance parole?"... so the question itself is ridiculous :p

Like I said, all you do is check the corresponding box. (see my post above).

Congrats mpanati! :)

thanks Praetorian :).

I am still not sure what those LUDs are. My wife's I-485 and i-765 had 4 LUDs in 5 days 6/6, 6/7, 6/8 and 6/10. Guess they are doing something. If only we can find what that 'something' is

Anyway, goodluck to all who are waiting at different stages. :)

Hi again....

For Part 1. A# Do i put the number that came in my I-485 letter?

errr... I am guessing you are filing for an I-131? in that case yes... that is your new and shiny alien number forever.

Btw If you look at I-131 under part 4 There is a question

"Purpose of trip" & list countries you are planing to visit. So based on that what do I put in there what did you guys put in there?

On page 9 of the I-131...

Right after Part 3. Question 3.

There is one instruction in bold that says:

If you are applying for an Advance Parole Document, skip to Part 7.

That means, when asking for advance parole. Which is what we are all doing. WE DO NOT PROVIDE A PURPOSE FOR TRIP.

Just skip to Part 7. :)

Yes you are right.... hmmm good I will send it out tomorrow. One more question If I get approved for advanced parole doc is that like a temporary visa that the immigration officer checks at the airport when entering the United States? And what do I put for "Class of addmision"

Thanks for your help.
