Well they delivered it - because somone signed for it - but then they went back after few minutes and requested the document back. Once I got the docs back I resend it again..... :p

It best for u to see the lawyer koz ur case will never be delay for such reason, trust me please ! Filin by urself is na gonna give a weight on ur application and what U dont know, the immigration officer will process ur case faster when they know u have a lawyer.

But wastin $ 5,000,00 is too much, go to another lawyer and u will find some cheaper one.

Well, just remember the AP does not mean ur case will be approved, and if u leave the country, the uscis officer in POE has right to send u back home if they find out u r no longer benefit for US.

Travel with AP is a risk but in case of emergency, u can use ur AP.

Thanks for your "warning"... I know what the AP is for, and I am using it before the interview. Traveling with my USC wife also, so hopefully it will all be OK. :cool:
 
Do not mind this post. It is a man's supposition nothing else. It is not a document rule or anything. If they want to deny you entry at POE, it does not matter if you are traveling with the Pope! :p

Chicagolady, first of all, I am not a lawyer, and what I've heard from other people on this forum, I think U can use ur I-131 anytime, but an I-131 is not an admission, therefore, uscis officer at POE have power to send u back home after ur trip if he find out u are not benefit for that petition anymore...but if u r married with us citizen and he/she travel with u, just because of the sight of she/he, the uscis officer will think twice before sendin u back home even though u've some going on ur case.

I am not sure about that, but I will ask my lawyer for u

Please let us know what your lawyer says because me and my husband are travelling together but he (USC) coming back early and I am coming alone after 2 weeks. My AOS is pending and coming back on AP, (Have h1 approval but not visa), hope there wont be any problem.

chicagolady, I just got my lawyer on phone and he said U can travel freely with ur AP with or without ur husband, but make sure U have the original copy of AP in safe place, never give this copy to an overseas immigration officer koz the original copy belong to U and U need to show that to the POE officer upon arrival in US.
Dont forget to take ur paasport and have with u the copy of ur I-485 receipt notice and ur marriag licence or certificate ( in the case they will ask U)

My guess is that it is the latest. Prior's shouldnt count.
 
I am planning to file I-131 but not sure where to file.

Initially, I-485 was filed with Vermont but it was transfered (I think) because of receipt number MSC.

Where should I mail my application?
