1. File an AR-11. Send certified mail.
2. Send a letter to the Service Center where your I-485 is pending, listing all of your receipt numbers for pending petitions (I-485, I-765, I-131) informing them of your change of address.
3. Call the 800 number after 45 days to verify.
You can print out confirmation receipt once you are done.
Plus USCIS sends you a confirmation letter to the new address. This is better than the paper system (Which too i have used before) since that doesnt allow for confirmation letter.
I did it online and i have received the letters for USCIS for my every applications and when i call them for any update CSR always tells me that we have changed your address in our system.
I did both online and snail mail and I got 2 confirmation for each for every pending application at that time (I-485, I-131) and despite that they send me the AP to the old address despite the new address was in the parole itself. Any how it took 2 months to be forwrarded to my new address.
