Hello,

Thanks for your response.I heard for those who have not filed 485 concurrently may have to wait as it may not be current in 2005 Fiscal year. I need to stay in India atleast 2 months and once I come here after that to file 485, if it's not current it shall be a problem for me. Any help is appriciated.

You cannot trust CIS. Some people may get FP within a month and some may not get even after 5 months. Iam also waiting for my FP and few of my friends got FP whoever filed after a month from my date. I read in this forum one guy got his FP within a week. So to be safer side apply 485 once you come back from India. Are you going to bring your family to apply 485 and going to back to india with them for longtime or what? If so come back and apply or stay here until you get FP notice.

Congrats calcuser. Its very good to see eb2 applications moving at last. My RD is in March. Hopefully they get to it soon. Best of luck with your 485 approval.

Congratulations calcuser !! It is nice to see atlast one Jan. 2004 concurrent filer's I-140 approval after a long time... :) :)

I have a question , since my wife was offered a job while ago and we were waiting for EAD and worried that if any RFE then what to do, so meanwhile we applied for H1 Premium processing.
Hopefully we will receive our approval anytime. So she wanted to use her H1 since my 140 is pending. Can she use her EAD to get SSN now, and work using H1 or you have to use whatever permit you used to get SSN?

H1b premium processing takes just 5 days to get approved.
U can get SSN with that -- it is taking almost a month to get SSN now a days.
Most prob Ur EAD and H1B might come by mail at the same time :p
 
Is I-140 filed separately taking less time than filed concurrently

I am analyzing the spreadsheet which you all guys have filled... it's good one.

Please tell me if I-140 is filed separately, is it treated differently than filed concurrently. People who filed separately have approval except one. I still have to apply for I-140, just got my Federal Labor Certified...

Just checked the status and my wife and I have our EADs approved. We are thrilled!
