If your spouse did not have the FP notice, they won't do the FP for your wife. Depending on ASC, some will allow the spouse to do FP even though they are scheduled on a different date. Without FP notice, i dont think so.

It seems that they don't accept early fingerprint, I tried today and they sent me back, the officer told me you can come any time after the appointment date NOT BEFORE. Any successful attempt there????
you have to had a very good reason to convince them that you badly need an early FP,like mine i show them the ticket so they did my FP earlier

LUDs on 485 before FP are the cases w/o 140 approval. In those cases if they have RFE or denial of 140 then 485 is also denied so you will observe LUD in 485 (also 140).

LUDs on 485 after FP...

1. Because of Biometrics (2 LUDS) + FP recepit (one LUd + msg change) + one lud (your case is reday for approval )
2. I have seen two cases with conti LUDs and similar patterns (about 4 to 5 LUDS) on 485 one got RFE (gc@VSC http://www.immigrationportal.com/showthread.php?t=168941) and another approval (mike_ins http://www.immigrationportal.com/showpost.php?p=1107284&postcount=6490)

As M3G JK has told repeatdly no meaning in drilling LUDs for 485 one will get no exact answer about LUDs
itec excellent answer for LUD
like mine i140 LUD 12/01/04 no approval yet cos of some reason but i am sure approval is on the way
i485 LUD1 12/14/04
LUD2 3/1/05 CHANGE ADDRESS
FP completed 3/09/05
LUD 3 3/14/05 NO MSS
LUD 4 3/15/05 NO MSS
LUD 5 3/16/05 ON MARCH 15 YOUR FP was received blah....blah

tell you guys i am really tired of this LUD,RFE games hope everyone here got all their approval, and lets get the h***out of this forum

thats the first reason i gave and same reply as yours go back there again say this time you are going back to your country by the end of the month so you badly need early FP and early approval. but i really had a ticket to go to indonesia to show them,well...its good if you have strong evidence to show them that you are really in emergency.

All,

Today we received the 485 approval notices, as per notice I need to make a Infopass appointment for I551 stamping and for further processing.

I got appointment on 7th and my wife's is on 15th.

Jharkhandi , Can we go together on 7th or she need to go on 15th as per appointment and what are the documents we need to carry other than 485 Notice,Passport,140 approvals & EAD cards. Please advise.

Thanks in Advance.

Kat999 - You do not need a seperate appointment for your wife. The infopass FAQs say that only one appointment is enough for a family. As far as the required documents are concerned, JK would be the best person. Cheers!

Thanks Beeru_thaaganu,

Thanks a lot , Your user Id makes me to think about my college days. Well, I was looking at Life after GD forum and one user pointed that he had bitter exp. when he went for stamping with his wife. The clerk asked him that if he makes an appointment with Dentist for himself, he cannot take whole family as he has to make appoitment for each individual.

Again it differs for each person and location.

Regards
Kat

FP Done at Newark.

Finished biometrics today at Newark. Had an appointment at 11:00AM. I went at 10:30 AM. And was out by 4:00 PM.
I suggest people to go early. Came to know that some people were sent back who came later. Seems like they maintain certain count.
Documents asked: Finger Print Notice; ID: Driver license or EAD card.
Procedure: Filled a form with basic info: Name, hieght,weight,ssn.. Finger prints, digital signature & a digital photo was taken.

Successfully Completed Early FP at Boston ASC today

After our last time’s experience of being sent back I was not feeling very confident this time. But we really needed early FP because of travel plans, so I thought we’d give it one last shot before sending in the notices for rescheduling. Cosmo Kramer’s approval helped me clear any doubts about early FP. Anyways here’s our experience.

Reached there (170 Portland St.) around 2:00 PM and parked next street over on Friends St. Went inside the ASC around 2:20 PM. Showed our notices to the receptionist and she immediately asked us the reason for coming in so early. I told her about our travel plans and she gave us the usual lecture about how we could reschedule by sending in the notices. But I guess she suddenly had a change of heart or something. Without our saying anything, she said, “Although we aren’t allowing walk ins any more but since you’ve come from far I’ll let you do it this time”. She put us up for 3 o’ clock’s appointment.

We waited until 3:00 and then we were given our numbers. Another 30 minutes wait before we went inside. They took digital prints of all 10 fingers, digital signature and a digital photograph (Code 3). Everything was done within 15 minutes.

Now we just have to wait and watch LUDs for the next few days, although we can’t expect much because of our PD.

Big smile for the digital picture

Hello all.

We got the FP done successfully at Alexandria ASC today. They took the fingerprints, digital picture and digital signature for Code 3.

We had 12:00PM appointment, and decided to go there a little early (10:00AM). Surprised to see over 400 ppl in line by then. The lady at the door patiently explained that they are allowing ppl with past appointment dates first (who have been turned away in the past due to work load etc.) before they take today's appointments.

By the time the 12:00PM appointees were called-in it was almost 2:00PM. We went in and rest of the process went smoothly. We came out of ASC by 3:30.

I have to commend the folks at Alexandria ASC who have been extremely patient in dealing with 100s of anxious ppl all day every day!!! I would not want to do their job.

My PD is Feb 2001, and 140/485 AD is 4/9/04. Hopefully we will see the 485 approval soon.

weren't you scared when you read early FP exp about one applicant from NSC fourm?

That person was not clear about the problems in the case and blamed early FP for all the problems?

JK and I are the best examples of early FP and approvals.... :D

Once I also thogut of doing job in MA because I have seen many lucky cases in 2003 and 2004 tracker from MA who got 140 and 485 very fast. Now I think USICS officer from MA is fired now for making favours :D

Any body who noticed the trends in LUD change after FP, please post your response. I completed my FP today (Saturday) from Newark and did not see LUD change so far. Any idea if LUD changes only on weekdays for VSC ?. All Gurus on this please respond.

BTW, if any of you plan to go for FP at Newark, NJ please be prepared to be there early as you can. I was there by 7am but there were about 90 people already. Had to stand in line in today's nasty wheather in cold & rain with the baby. I was out by 10am.

FP at Newark, NJ

All,
We are one of those unlucky people at Newark ASC who could not give the FP bcuz ASC had reached the limit of 800/day much before our arrival. We got there around 11.30 for a 1PM appointment and I wasn't planning to go early as I didn't want to risk being returned to come back later and the weather was not very good today.
Our notices got the initials from the manager of ASC and we were told to come back any day, preferably early.
We are thinking of going early during one of the week days.
Unfortunately, we were told this after 3 hours of waiting and I would adivse all those who are planning to get the FP done at Newark to go early may be by 9AM to be sure of getting it done on the same day.
BTW do you see any issues for us having to go back again? I mean interms of any impact on the 485 processing?

Thanks,
SG

Hi Kat,

From your profile I see that you are in NJ, so I assume you are going to Newark.

Newark is pretty strict about infopass appointments and stamping - some people have been lucky but they are exceptions. I would suggest go together if you can change your appointment date - it is easy to spend 4-5 hours talking and sharing excitement. Otherwise it is indeed a long wait.

Try Federal Plaza, New York, sometimes they have appointments at one or two days notice. It is easy to reach there.

If you are in Central/South Jersey, you may try Philly - it is nice center without much wait time(people got stamped in 15 min!) - friendly staff. You can reach there by train, if you hate to drive - it will be fun for both of you.(you have to almost one day in Newark too).

Take your SSN card , usually one SSA office is in same building and you can get card changed after showing I-551 stamp.

In Newark, stamping will be done in room 310/320 on third floor and you can get SSN card changed on 31st floor after showing the stamp.

Documents needed:
Must:
485 approval Notice
Infopass appointment print-out
Passport.
I-94
EAD.

Nice to have:
485 notice
AP

Confidence booster:
All approved visa petitions.

Take good care of right hand index finger - they will take another impression of same.

All the best.
