Finally ... I140 approved

:)

No LUDs on my I-140 before approval. It was approved on 3/22/05 and I just woke up and recieved the sweet emails..

Hi Guys please help me with this situation especially gurus like JK,Itec

My Brother In Law applied for Labor in 1999 in Sacremento area. His labor and 140 got approved long time ago. He got married last May and applied for 485 in July end. He got his EAD,AP etc and also finished his FP. The web site shows the results of his FP were received on Sep 9th 2004.
Now the CSC is processing September 01 2004 applications for 485 which means by BIL's 485 should have been processed.
But no news yet.
Guys please shed some light here as CSC thread is not as good as ours(BTW I am from Boston). So I thought I can post it here and get your expert advice on what shld be done to track the status.
Any information and help would be greatly apprecaited.

I am in the same similar situation, atleast your wife got a LUD change, for me both my wife and me do not have LUD change after FP completed on 5th Nov. 2004. My 140 is also not approved my RD is 03/03/2004.

I called USCIS so many time to find out, they gave me the same reply to send a letter to USCIS to update the status, i did send a mail to USCIS a month back but nothing changed. I am not sure what is happening.

I was busy in Meetings today . 6 hours of meeting in a 8hr work day .

I was able to try calling USCIS only once and was in queue for 25 mins. Had to leave for another meeting so called up my wife and asked her to try .

She managed to get through. The USCIS lady just told her the date of 485 status ie May18 RD and it will take another 2-3 months since currently Mar2004 is going on. When my wife enquired about FP not getting updated, USCIS lady told her she can't tell her anything related to FP results. We should write a letter to Vermont USCIS asking them to update the FP results in the database.


I dont know what we can do next. Let me know if someone got different answer.

By the way, we did our FP at San Jose . Are the remaining people also from this area. I guess all EAST coast people are getting FP messages updated.

Hello Gurus:

Can someone estimate how much time will it take after the FP process for the 485 approval (Knowing that I-140 is cleared).
I know that you can not predict USCIS actions, but what has the trend been?

You will get within a week of FP (because of your PD)

Many ppl file i-485 after marraige. They call spouse on h-4 here and then file i-485. So that both get i-485 approval and GC at the same time.

You should contact lawyer in this matter.

I guess we will have to wait .
In my case there could be two reasons.
1. My case is very complicated. My wife had out of status issues due to laywer and company screw ups which are resolved now but dont know if the GC file was updated.
2. My 2nd EAD and AP was updated on 03/03/2005 . LUD changed for my I-140 and my wifes 485 but not mine. Maybe the person forgot.

I can only hope everything turns out good.

I notice there were couple of approvals on Monday but no approvals on Tuesday.
I hope Monday is not only day for I485 approvals?

many ppl have reported that they get GC after 6 to 7 months of 485 approval. Meanwhile you can get your passport stamped and can use instead of GC. But I have seen one case who was denied entry in US inspite of stamping in passport.

Do we have to get it?
Recently (last month) we have seen different USICS approach for GC. As soon as you schedlue infopass appointment msg shows that GC ordered. So we have to wait and watch that does GC arrive in 14 days or same 6 to 7 months. In the latter case you want to use passport stamping at own risk.

I don't get it. What differnce it makes if u file ur 485 before or after marriage??? The applciations should be processed according to Processing Dates right?
Why do u say we need to contact the lawyer? Can you elaborate on that?

I think they will start digging up the cases in the next week or the first week of april. The reason is behid this...

If the processing date is reported same for the long time then they are ahead in processing cases . If the processing dates jumps fast for 3 to 4 times then they are around or little lagging the reported processing date. this is the case for i-140 and i-485 right now. My guess :D

Was her name included as dependent on i-485? If no then if your BIL's 485 is approved then he is PR. Which makes a lot of difference.

Yes her name was included in 485..They filed 485 together and both of them got their EAD and AP and in fact she has started working with her EAD..

Sorry ..Now we are on same page. Just wait for some time about 2 weeks ....processing date does not mean that your case it handled. It will give you idea only.

Congrats for your 140 approval.

did you get any LUD change after march 10th. Mine is similar to yours.

I140/I485/EAD/AP - RD- 07/27/04 ND- 08/03/04
I140 LUD - 02/07/2005,02/15/2005(RFE),02/16/2005(No Change), 03/08/2005 (RFE Response received on 03/07/2005), 03/09/2005 & 03/10/2005 (No Change)

Your approval gives me lot of hope and i beleive i will get approval soon.

FP in Newark, NJ code 3 ?

Is there anybody who got FP done from Newark, NJ with code 3 ?

I have an appointment there soon and I have heard roumers in my office that one has to schedule 2 seperate appointments - 1 for finger Printing and the other for Biometrics.

Please clarifiy guys.
