my nd is 08/25/03 and my status says that uscis received the result of my 1st finger printing last 08/28/04 and will resume on processing my case. i had my 1st fp done last 08/24/04... when do you think i will get my i485 approval or my greencard? ?

If you are lucky, any day now.

More realistically, in 6-12 months or so.

If you are unlucky, longer...

485 approved - Now Passport Stamping ..

Received the I 485 approval last week :) from my attorney. I will be going to the DC office to get it stamped.
Has someone been to this office recently for this purpose or has any experience with this office?

I have been asked to get I94, original notice, 2 Photos (the specs have changed recently on the BCIS site), EADs, APs and the passport. Anything else I should be carrying with me?

Also, I sent AR 11 earlier this month but the 485 approval notices never reached at my new add, so I don't think the address update has been made in their system yet. Should I get my address changed at the time of stamping? I have AR11 mail and return receipt, which I plan to carry with me for stamping. Any suggestions to handle the address change issue?

Thanks.
ps: will update the sheet soon.

FP Notice received

GC Approved Nov 12 2003 EB3 case

My GC case is approved today. My 485 date is Nov 12 2003. I was surprised to see my case approved so soon. It took just 11 months to get this case approved. Nothing special about this case. It was field with an pre approved labor EB3 category. Filed I-140 and I-485 concurrently.

Looks like Vermont is picking up speed. Best wishes for all the guys waiting for their approvals.

:D :D :D :D :D :D :D

RFE issued

Friends,
On 10/08 RFE was issued against my case#. My wife's case did not get the RFE (in fact the LUD for her case# never changed after FP(1))

The status shows "Current Status:

On October 8, 2004, we mailed a notice requesting additional evidence or information in this case. The notice explains in detail what additional material is needed. If you have questions about the notice, what is required, or if 14 days have passed and you have not received the notice, please call the National Customer Service Center at (800) 375-5283."

Does any one know what this could be?
Do I get the notice or the lawyer?
Should I be worried about this?

Any suggestions/thougths will be appreciated as I am confused

cheers,

I'm not positive but I'm assuming that your lawyer will receive the notice and maybe you'll get a copy?

They could be asking for anything from redoing your photos to supplying W2's and/or tax records or clarifying your education background.

I wouldn't worry about this until you find out what it's for. This could be a good thing in that, assuming it's a fairly simple RFE to respond to, your case could be approved shortly after.

As an aside, it's nice to see them looking at a case with Sept / Dec ND.

Good luck and let us know what happens with your case .

Congrats!
What was your Original labor Priority Date?

AP and EAD Vermont address

Can anybody tell me the correct address to mail and fee and form: I 131 (advance Parole) and 1 765(EAD) for Vermont center.

This is just to make sure I'm sending to correct address with correct fee and form. This is my second application. First one was filed by attorney.

Thanks in advance!!

Thanx

The USCIS puts the PD on some of the notices that it sends out (e.g. it should be on the notice for your EAD) and corresponds to the day that the labor was filed afaik.

Thanx ETA-GC for your reply. I checked my 765 notice but the PD is blank. even my 485 PD is blank
However, In my copy of my I-140 Approval notice that i recd from my attorney has a PD and is October 18th 2002. Is this the one ? And if it is the one, what can we interpret using this PD. Sorry, I am new to this PD thing and how important is this ? Help me out.

Thanx
