For me, it was the other way around, with my new EAD valid for one year from the expiration of the previous EAD, but the new AP valid for one year from the date of approval.

Pretty characteristic of the USCIS - no uniformity :D .

Hi,
I did my fingerprints around May 2003, exact date is in the 2003.xls
I was never called back for 2nd FP.

Gosh this last date update change had made me restless. god knows what will happen. its already a week and no further updates..........
 
That can be an explanation, they didn't want to go for a second FP ... maybe your application was on JIT self when they saw that the FP is expiring

Hey Vicky,

Can we do anything about it? NO.... so we can just keep our frustration level low..... if there was a formula or set of rules and regulations we can easily derive a date of approval.... but with USCIS there is no rules and regulations.... I read it in another thread a guy... with substituted labor got his I-140 and 485 approved in TWO months... while there are guys waiting for more than TWO years.... his lawyer got his approval notices too.... :) amazing haan.... so we can just wait patiently....

what a relief? Nothing changed on I485 so far.

I have a question and appreciate the answer from anybody.
Is this possible the approval of EAD/AP even though there is a RFE on I140?
My lawyer told me he sent the response for I140, but it never got updated on case status.
May be my I140 was approved but I have never been communicated from employer.
Please comment.

I140 AP/ EAD approved

Hi, My I140 was approved in May, my atternery received the letter on May 19th. My AP/EAD were approved on 6/11 and 6/13 respectively. My lawyer did concurrent filing on OCT. 28th for I140 and I485 and AP.

I have a question and maybe someone here can help me. Is is possible to apply 2nd EAD by myself or shall I use an lawyer. I am thinking changing jobs and my company lawyer is currently handling all my application issues and they are paid by my company as well. I wonder if I can apply EAD extersion by myself if I move to a new company.

Your advice will be highly appreciated!

EAD was approved 06/17/2003.

I140-I485 Approved

All,

Finally it is my day. EB3 Applied concurrently on June 16, 2003 for I140-1485-EAD-AP. 1st EAD and AP got approved on July 07 2003, Fp done on April 10, 2004. Second EAD got approved on June 23, 2004, Applied for 2nd AP June 28, 2004, I140/I485 approved July 8, 2004.

I don't know what triggered this but I had done lot of things recently.
Since my I140 was not getting approved for a long time eventhough my RD was June 16, 2003, I initiated Inquiry myself and asked the Company's lawyer to do that. No response, Finally I thought I should contact Senator. I contacted senator and Governor and I guess that triggered this.

I still can't believe it. I got the emails one after the other. First I got an email for I140 approved. One hour later I got an email for I485 approved. I guess today is my day. I thank god (First of All) and next to you all, as this forum has helped me a lot and I wish you good luck.

After seven and half years on H1B I finally got the Green Card approved.

I will wait for the Approval notice and then I will go to INS to get it stamped. I hope I receive the Card soon.

last update date changed again

i am not sure what is happening with my case. first they changed the last update date on both 140 and 485 from 10/29/03 to 06/28/04 and again it is changed today showing 07/08/04. my case was filed on 10/29/03. this is kind of making me nervous. worst part is there is no change in the status of the case. it says we have recieved your case and it is taking 90 to 485 days to process it.

any input guys....anyone in the same boat as i am.

either you will see 140 approval or an RFE. I my case also I first had LUD updated and it sat there for 2 weeks and after that RFE. MY nd is 10/23/03, EB3
 
thanks casio for your feedback......so when did you got the RFP and what was the RFP about.....have u replied to it yet....
 
now this is an nail biting issue....they changed my last update date again today from 07/08 to 07/09 for both 140 and 485. but the status on the case is still the same.

boy this friday is turning out to be a nervous start.
