    Do you work at a University? If so, and if your letters are from independent people who are associated with other Universities (or even you own for that matter, as long as they are INDEPENDENT ), you are fine. All the best!

    Guys: What if the application was a self-petition? The reason that I ask is, I work at a University, and my NIW application was self-petitioned through an attorney. Does the same logic apply?

    Thanks for the input. I am getting affidavits from family friends. About the birth certificate, it was included in my original application. Do you think I should include it as evidence once more?

    Yes, I-140 Approved after RFE

    Congratulations---I am a concurrent filer from Sept, 2003. My I-140 was approved on June 1st, 2005, and I485 on Aug 9th, 2005. However, I guess it is hard to predict a pattern. All the best with your I-485. Sept03NIW
