GC was approved for myself, my younger son and my wife in the past 2 months (on different dates) however approval for my elder son remains pending. I had tried to check status using the 800# but the message states that they are having a system problem and that I will have to call back later...
Annai:
I did indeed contact our Senator (Jon Corzine) for assistance however his office replied back saying that USCIS has responded that my case is still in progress and that it would take another 30-60 days. I believe this was about a month ago.
To bunchofquestion:
Yes I am also from NJ and since both our dates are pretty close I am sure your approval is just round the corner (if already there by the time I responded to your query)
:)
Got an email notification from USCIS informing that my case has been approved. My long wait since February 2002 is finally over. We are still awaiting status on the application for my wife and children & Notification letter.
I want to thank everyone even remotely connected with this website...
Me too
I am in the same (rocking) boat as you. Not sure whats keeping thats smile on our face :(
RD= 2/15/02
FP1 = 5/02
FP2 = 5/04
Raised enquiry with USCIS, they responded that its still in process and I have to wait.
Sought help via Senator's office.....same reply as the one I...
I am a Feb 2002 filer too. Called and initiated an inquiry. Got a response in mail yesterday that the application is still in process and I should expect a response in 30 days.
This is getting really frustrating specially since late 2002 and early 2003 filers are being approved.
I am the same boat as you guys
The frustration level rises. I have friends in my office who filed in May 2002 and have since then been approved.
My details:
RD= 02/15/2002
ND = 03/06/2002
FP1 = May 2002
FP2 = May 2004
How long this torture lasts? God knows.
My wife and I have a scheduled date for 2nd FP for 5/11/04. We went early two weeks ago to take a chance with early FP. They refused to entertain our request stating that they are under strict instructions not to entertain any early FP requests.12
