Sent an inquiry, got a response

I am a Feb 2002 filer and I sent an inquiry to the USCIS twenty days ago. Finally got a very stupid response - You will hear from our office in 60 days. What does it mean? Does it mean that it is not pending the FBI name clearance?
I think I've seen similar stories on this site but don't rememeber what happened to these people after that. Could anyone let me know whether after a letter like that the case is usually transferred, RFE'd, approved or something else?
 
I am a Feb 2002 filer too. Called and initiated an inquiry. Got a response in mail yesterday that the application is still in process and I should expect a response in 30 days.

This is getting really frustrating specially since late 2002 and early 2003 filers are being approved.
