We received cards exactly in a month after interview.
The timeframe from transfer to actual card receiving as follows:
5 months waiting for interview letter
1 more month of waiting for the interview
Another month for receiving the card.
The first 5 months were extremely painful, taking into...
Thanks guys!!!
I also would like to thank Ginnu, Cinta and RealCanadian. Their posts are very informative.
I will update the forum when we receive cards.
Once you will get the interview letter, you will get the directions to the office with the map. There are many places to park your car...
Compass,
The officer asked if we were arrested. We firmly answered NO. This is one of so called NO questions. So, if you were arrested you have to explain why. There were threads in California transfers discussing this matter.
Also, you can read posts by Curious George regarding WHY the cases...
Just came from interview. It was easy. Officer took taxes, I94, and current EAD. All the questions were routine:
1) Name of your parents
2) SSN
3) EVL
4)When and where did you last enter the US
5) All these NO questions regarding polygamy, communist parties etc, etc...
Then the officer...
Glenmd,
I have no updates. I went to Baltimore office. It was useless. They checked all our files are there. They told me that mostlikely I 'll get the letter in December-January. I'll update the forum as soon as I get the news from Baltimore.
GlenMD,
No. I did not get the letter. Called my lawyer. She said:
1)they may do inquiry after 6 months after transfer (January 2005)
2)the processing dates in Baltimore office are TD, not ND of your I-485. It's frustrating. I was hoping they honor our NDs.
PS Did anyone get the interview...
GlenMD,
Thanks for updating us. It's indeed very valuable information.
Friend of mine just got GC after interview in Baltimore. This family based case was transferred in March 04 with PD 1998. The interview letter was received in June with interview scheduled in 3 weeks. The whole process was...
GlenMD,
There is no harm in going to Baltimore in person in order to enquire about your case. I read that few people (lucky ones) got the interview letter soon after their visit. I know one family who even got their passports stamped while they were in Baltimore office checking on AP for their...
485someday and GlenMD,
We visited Baltimore in August. My daughter was called for EAD interview. It turned out they just needed to check her identity. We did not take advantage of talking with the officer regarding our case. The reason- huge crowed and lack of the free time. What I noticed -...
485someday,
My attorney received transfer notices for me and my child in a week. So far we did not receive actual transfer paper for my spouse.
Good luck!
GlenMD,
We did not get the transfer notice for my spouse neither. Our attorney is saying that it's ok since we got the e-mails regarding the transfer for whole family.
I will check with FBI in October. I have some gut feeling that I will not get the interview letter this month, which coincides...
Ginnu,
Never heard about this one. I guess folks from INS would be extremely surprised that their action may be predicted with such know-how. Anyway, I appreciate your inputs.
Ginnu,
Thanks for your comments and encouragement. We really need good luck. May I ask you what are the basics of your prediction? Isn't just Russian roulette?
GlenMD,
I did not check with FBI. I strongly believe we have no influence on FBI and INS. So, why to bother?
Glenmd,
My case was transfered 2.5 months ago. Still did not get the interview letter. My attorney is saying that it may take 6-7 months to get the letter. There were messages from at least 4 people transfered at the beginning of 2004. As ginnu mentioned, they got they letters in 30-40 days...
