I just received a reference letter from a big name of my field. However he mentions in the letter that he is an emeritus professor, which I did not know. And I guess that was why he didn't use the letter paper with official letterhead. I am wondering if this letter works. Thanks.

I am just curious to know because I am collecting letters for my NIW RFE. NIW-Nov 04 has such strong background, but is still going to submit 12-13 more letters. I was told by my lawyer to prepare 5 new letters from independent experts. Can anybody share his experience on this question? Thanks.

I would say NO. Don't include "interesting" and "potentially" in your letters.

I have a question regarding the third prong. What are the minimum qulifications? In my case, I am a postdoc working in a university. So is the minimum qulification a Ph.D degree? Thanks.
