I filed my I-140 in January(Received date - Jan 3rd 2007) and received the approval notice. I saw LUD as 07/18/2007 but did not received any email despite turning the "Email ON". Online status still, even today, says "Case received and Pending". I filed my I-140 myself as I could...

You can file I-485
I am in the same boat. My PD is May 2004 and I-140 pending. Since you already applied PP, your I-140 should be approved shortly. I-485 can be filed as long as there is a pending or approved I-140.
Nope.

Nebraska
Regardless of where the company is located, all the I-140 applications go to Nebraska. They then will let you know in your receipt at which service center your application will be processed.
3 years possible

please correct if I am wrong friends.
I did mine....
I have the same situation. My company who did my frst H1 did the eaducational evaluation and I have been using that since, even for H1b extensions. It is always good to show that your 4 year degree is equivalent to 4 year degree in the U.S.
How TSC?
Hi Little_tongya,

Appreciate your input.

She can not work
6 year limit counted is towards the H status and it includes both H1 or H4. Since your wife completed her H status(H4) of 6 years and there is no LC pending - she as the beneficiary for 365 or more, I don't think she can get H1 approved. She may have to wait until you get the...
take it back...
I just found out from one of the lawyers that changing from consular to I-485 happens immediately where as the other way around takes atleast a year.
sorry for the confusion in my earlier response.
