Is it possible to have 3 Yrs of H1b Extension after 7th year when I-140 Pending?

Does it make a difference if the H1B extension is with the same company for which the I-140 has been approved? I have an approved I-140 since 10/2005 with company A, and I-485 (filed concurrently) pending for more than 6 months. I just switched from company A to company B (same field), which is extending my H1B visa (just in case, I do have a valid EAD). Will my H1B be extended by 1 or 3 years?

3 years possible

If company A didn't revoke your I-140 then, I think it is possible to get 3 year extension through company B based on company A's aproved I-140.
