Just went through this - the EAD card was mailed about 10 -12 days after it was approved - I was approved in 6/4 - had the card by 6/20. The message does change once the card is mailed. good luck!

EAD Approved - WAC03107***** EAD Approved - WAC03107***** - Online message says approved on 06/06/03. Card will be mailed. Qs. Do I need to have the card in order to continue working or is the approved status sufficient. My prev EAD card expires later this month. Thanks!
