Question: Is it criminal to make an appointment to get a Passport at Regional agency before you have your interview given the fact that you are traveling 2 days after your Nat interview with new status or with GC? Obviously if you failed, you would have to forgo the trip? Thoughts anyone?

where you receiving any bills or any mail when you were 5 months away? I would put that address there (probably your friend). Yes include your friend's apartment as well as you lived there as well. You have to establish that you still have ties to the US even when you were in Japan

I second that as well without all the toilet references. This should not affect your N-400 application. You do not even have to disclose the fact that you have a hospital bill..
