I concurrently filed in EB1-OR category and received receipt notices for all applications except I140. It appears that USCIS send I140 notice to the attorney only.
Yes you can definitely apply. I'm on J-1 and I applied in EB1-OR category recently. I was subjected to 2 Yr HRR and I received waiver for that.

I'm really surprised that you got the receipt notice so quickly among this all USCIS present workload. My application was mailed on 12 Oct 2007 and my attorney told me that it will take several weeks to get the notice.

It looks like you got receipt notice very quickly. May I know in which center you applied? Also did u receive the receipt notice or your lawyer? Did u file cocurrently?

there are not many people who do this unusual stuff (J1 to GC) but i think whatever peice of information we get we shall post here so that this unsual criterion becomes ususal.....
Thanks lakksh......I hope I'll have 140 and 485 approved well before that and I can use EAD and AP to stay and work here until I get my green card....I hope i'm thinking in right direction. If decision is unlikely (around 10 months from now), then I'll go for H1b PP.
