    VISA Information for Countries

I think primary asylees get sent to secondary. Derivatives, probably not.

    Permanent Resident card name

You'll be fine. There's limited space. Your first first name and last name are the most important. I often leave my middle name off airline tickets and it's all fine.

Applying for a Second Re-entry Permit

Since your permit is expiring in December, you can just indicate in the form that it is 'set to expire in Dec 2025' and keep it if you want. It's basically a guarantee the new one will be issued after this date given you'll be applying in August. This is what I used to do.

Traveling from USA to Canada with greencard and no passport.

Not recently, but every time I went to Canada when I was an LPR (between 2005 and 2011) was by road, and every time I only showed my GC on both sides. The Canadians just scanned and asked basic questions. The Americans often asked if I had a passport, for some reason. But, there were no real issues.

Anyone with travel experience using their refugee travel document (Recently)?

This list is wrong. A few countries like Germany, the Netherlands and Belgium don't require a visa. Technically you can enter one of these countries and travel through the Schengen area, but you are not officially allowed to go to countries that require a visa. If they check, and there are a...

Traveling Outside the US As Asylee applicant ,Asylee,LPR through Asylum

No issue. As she got her GC through asylum, she can always apply for either an RTD or RP (Re-Entry Permit) until she becomes a citizen.

I don't remember if I have submitted AR11 of my current address 12 years back. What to do?

How did you get your GC if you haven't updated your address since 2013? If you both got it three years ago and you haven't moved, it's likely they have this address. About nitpicking, I don't really know...

US Citizens transit through Heathrow airport, need to apply for ETA?

I recommend EVERYONE get a super cheap and easy ETA before flying through the UK. You never know if you'll need it, and again, it's cheap and quick, and lasts for up to 2 years.

    VISA Information for Countries

They give you a visa waiver if you have a Schengen visa because they figure the Schengen country checked you out and issued you the visa, so you're kosher. Or halal. Or whatever. Pick your food type of choice :) This makes huge sense, and I don't understand why everyone doesn't do it. Let the...

Do I need to return while waiting for the re-entry permit to process?

If all goes according to plan and the permit is sent to you before 2 years are up, no problems. You can stay out. HOWEVER, what if it's lost in the post, or some other unforeseen event prevents you from receiving it and you've been out for over a year? I would not risk being out of the country...

Traveling Outside the US As Asylee applicant ,Asylee,LPR through Asylum

I don't think this is true, as the GC was obtained through asylum, even if derivative. They would need the RTD at least to leave and enter the US. partial international travel could probably be carried out on the passport, but I am not sure about this.

Traveling Outside the US As Asylee applicant ,Asylee,LPR through Asylum

Oh, I've never seen that stamp before. Interesting. Also, I hadn't realised they'd updated the RTD. Looks cool. Is it now biometric and does it have a hard plastic bio page?

    I-131 re entry

People routinely apply while in the US (which you must do), leave, and come back for biometrics, as long as someone is checking your post for the notice. However, if, for some reason you don't get it, and you don't get the re-entry permit before 6 months pass and you are abroad, you'd be...

Traveling Outside the US As Asylee applicant ,Asylee,LPR through Asylum

You only want to go to Italy in Schengen? Usually, if you are visiting several countries you can indicate the most time in one of the countries and apply for a visa through their consulate, and then change your itinerary to what you wanted initially while STILL visiting the country that issued...

Traveling Outside the US As Asylee applicant ,Asylee,LPR through Asylum

Funny thing is, when I applied for visas they always used my A number as my document number.

If you're not sure, this is something for which you ought to consult a good immigration attorney.

    VISA Information for Countries

At the moment there are more and more controls, especially at German borders. That's not to say they will cause trouble if you don't have a visa, but there is the risk. https://www.infomigrants.net/en/post/62016/schengen-zone-expands-but-border-checks-persist-across-eu
