I've been trying so hard to get my state Id but so far no luck. :( But then I was thinking, what if I take the I-797 appointment letter and state that INS is asking for a Government Id in order for me to enter the INS building when I go. Anyone think that'll work? :(

ok, got it, san antonio processing dates of May, they were in January about 1 month ago, I filed in Sept, I dont know if I should risk applying for an EAD. I have a friend whose been waiting for 3 months for his EAD, and still nothing. But anyhow, thanks! :)
Do the INS workers start checking on your application when your application priority date is current or before, as soon as they get your paperwork? I'am asking because I see some posters signatures, on which they sent their package like in October, and by November, USCIS is requesting evidence...
