Invalid Receipt #

Guys I received my receipt number in the mail on 11/09/06 but when i tried to register it online it said it was in valid. Say thing when i tried to check the status. The receipt # is for I-130 for My Husband. Has anyone of you experience this before? Is there a delay in USCIS entering receipt numbers into their system? Thanx in advance

I get the same error for my friends I-797 application number, it says it's invalid, that I prob typed it in wrong, but I didn't.

Sometimes there is a delay in getting reciept numbers in the system, yes. Just keep trying.
