This post has absolutely nothing to do with I-485 processing.
But what's up with with spelling in some of these posts? For example:
u = you
ur = your
r = are
what's the deal here?? It just makes the post much harder to read, and it is not cool. Learn the language of your new country!
I think there are many of us in the same situation here.
My I-485 was approved last month, but no movement in my wife's case. So I called the 800 number yesterday and spoke to a representative, and they said that her background check was only initiated the same day as my I-485 was...
I am in the same situation, primary applicant got approved, but wife and kids still waiting. Maybe they just focuses on getting as many primary applicants approved as possible before October 1st, then they will go back to the direvative applicants after that. I've read someplace else that this...
Thank you!
Does anyone know how long I can expect to wait for approval for wife and kids (derivative applicants) now that I as the primary applicant has been approved?
Approved!
My I-485 got approved overnight!! Wife and kids are still not approved, though! Hope theirs will come through soon.

Everybody, repeat after Axxe:
WTF !!!

But what does "processing time" really mean?

Worst case processing...
Waiting...
This entire process is very exhausting....the never ending waiting game...
I wish they could at least hurry up with processing of these cases, and let people know that things are okay and approved. So be it that no visa may be available at this time. But at least knowing that...
Haha, that is pretty good :)
But since their H1-B programmer is also stuck in backlog, and his case cannot be processed due to the database being down, he cannot come in and fix it. And hence the database will never be fixed .....
