ari4u, what is the residency requirements for being eligible for citizenship? when i was approved for GC, the officer told me that i can apply for citizenship 2 yr 9 mon from the day, do i have to stay in US for at least 6 mon/yr and total 18 months from now on? thanks.

don't worry, an immigration officer told me that they don't stamp the passport anymore, just wait for the GC card to arrive, you should be fine.

My application is spouse of US citizen, and i just had my nc cleared in Feburary, after 2 years, then somehow my file was mistakenly transferred to another state, now i am still waiting for background check to be cleared! How long do we have to wait after the nc is cleared??? is this ever going...
