great, this is what i refered to when i called INS, but the officer told me that i should be in US< well, i know it's not true and i even tried to argue with her on the phone, but i still gonna file out of US to my perm US address! thz,olik ;)

unfortunatly, that's true, if you decide to go out of US, first you have to have the re-entry permit(which is usually given for no more than 2 years) secondly, you have to read more on the INS web that nowdays it's not the case when you can come to US for a FEW weeks and than go back outside of...

Hello comrads, thank you for this forum, it;s awesome! I am outside of US for 2 years, due to my husband is working here(different country), and his contract is for 2 years! However, my GC (conditional) will be expired next year April 2006, and i got my re-entry permit approved till April...

does anyone knows if you can apply for REP outside(l know that you can;t legally, but if there are any other ways to do it from the outside()????? thnkz :rolleyes:
