Hello comrads,
thank you for this forum, it;s awesome!
I am outside of US for 2 years, due to my husband is working here(different country), and his contract is for 2 years!
However, my GC (conditional) will be expired next year April 2006, and i got my re-entry permit approved till April 2006, so it means that i can't stay outside of US after April 2006,
does anyone know what should i do in this case, is there any way i can apply for another re-entry permit out of US?
What does USCIS usually send back when i apply for my conditions to be removed in April 2006(i know that i can do this one out of US), and when will send send me the approval or a card for 10 years?
please ask me questions if you don't understand!
thanz, lel

I'm almost sure that as a resident you can not be out of the country for more than 6 months at any one time- is that the case? Did you notify the INS about an address change?

Re-entry permits are not extended.

You will like to check this:
http://uscis.gov/graphics/howdoi/PermRes.htm
http://www.usavisacounsel.com/article-95.htm

Even if you have a re-entry permit it is advice to keep all kind of information like why you stay out so long, your husband employer letter and that you still have things in the US. There are other things that you can check with the US Consulate where you at so you can have all the necessary information before re-entry.

Good luck,

thank you guys,
i will remember it!!!
What would you do in my situation?
We have more things that attach us to Russia rather to the US?
what to do, how to prove?
thnx,

You must decide if you really want to live in the US and I think then should be a call between you and your husband, don't you think? I mean you don't have to live in the US, you can live somewhere else.
