Thanks everyone Wife was able to get the case/file number after visiting the cosulate. For some reason, the whole process over there has gotten worse. Lots of folks who are missing documents and consulate claims, they have mailed it to them.

In my case, it is same consulate, new Delhi for initial application as well as final interview. The USCIS approves once your application is accepted and then gives to consular section which is less than 10 feet away. I think consular section sends the case/file number when they snd information...

Thanks visaapplicant. I filed I-130 directly in New Delhi, India, through the DCF process. Both of us went through the interview there and from what USCIS told me, it was approved and forwarded to the consular section. But she has not received any info. And all you get after applying in India...

Hi micmic - I just checked my I-130 application and I forgot to fill anything under question 22. I filled N/A for "Your relative is in US" but I left City/Country blank for "your relative will apply visa abroad". Maybe that's why my wife's is not hearing anything from US consulate in India.

I would have pictures of both of you when you visited her. Also take any phone records with you. They want to see "relationship" things.

From what I gathered from this forum is that spouse of US citizens who filed DCF in New Delhi, India, usually get their pkt 3 within 20 days. In my case, it is now 25 days and nothing so far. Any one who recently filed DCF in Delhi?

Since your husband is filing for you, he is the petitioner, so only his info will be on the I-864.

I think it depends, like in India, local city issues the birth certificates.

Did you mention those times outside USA on your application? Then you should be fine. Otherwise you can always claify this thin when you go for the interview.

I was at New Delhi consulate last week and they told me PCCs are valid for 1 yr.

Finally - DCF accepted at New Delhi Was able to file the I-130 for my wife at New Delh this Friday. Surprisingly this time, there were only 3 other couples filing the DCF. Now waiting for pkt 3 to come in the mail. BTW - What kind of questions they ask in the final interview?

Thanks GeeC for that link. My email to New Delhi consulate kept coming back. rusom - filing from US takes 1 yr. before your spouse will be called for visa interview in India. That's what I found after talking to 3-4 spouses in New Delhi. Not sure if the K-3 process is any faster.
