Listing Arrests in COP on N-400 or NOT??

Simply list it under the question because it says "have you ever been detained, arrested....etc", for those who does not have a formal warrant or anything, make an affidavit stating the circumstances. You will be fine.

It has more to do with who you claim to be. In your original asylum application, if you claimed to be some renowned human rights activist and the government still in power, good luck. Otherwise, I don't see this as that damaging.

Turned Away at JFK due to RTD expiration date. Help!

The re-entry permit is valid for two years, so you do have a bit more time to manage. If you plan to renew NP "only", then just do it if you feel it makes your entry convenient, and most of the time it does. Just remember, there is no iron-barred prison inside your COP's embassy. The worst...

a friend of mine got approved his citizenship(did go to COP)

Here is the problem I've been having with some employment-based PRs. They think all asylum-based PRs are either liars or "non-contributing" members of the community. In short, they think those asylum-based PRs don't deserve their GC. My advice to them is: 1. I sincerely hope the bill...

asylum from serbia,GC and new NP

Well, I think if they are getting stringent on this, it will probably require interview for almost every AOS case. They don't have that kind of resources. But apparently they are aware of this problem and going after at least half a dozen of them in my district.

asylum from serbia,GC and new NP

Thankful, Thanks for the clarification. I think this failed effort leaves the secret weapon to USCIS if somehow they don't like you.

a friend of mine got approved his citizenship(did go to COP)

Even at the airport, some CBP officers who are naturalized citizens give hard time to those who traveled to COP or were suspected to have traveled to COP. I am not a fan for immigration fraud, but this is troublesome to me. They acted as if they have the authority to take away your GC on the...

asylum from serbia,GC and new NP

Go right ahead and in these situations (Yugoslavia fell apart, Commis gone from Eastern Europe to Russia) you will not have any problem. USCIS will still grant you permanent residency even though they know the conditions of these countries changed, unless they have other issues with you (for...

PM, The only issue with the garden work in my backyard is that I have a tough time of bug-control. Last year was a disaster; this year I started earlier for pest-control but so far so bad! Nice to have you back.

my citizenship interview experience (donnt go to COP)

Lazer, I do not want to sound mean to you, and you know I am not. Why don't you just look up yourself. PACER has public access; it only charges you some cents per page which you actually viewed. Of course if you go to any college, you will be able to viewing all day and night for free...

my citizenship interview experience (donnt go to COP)

Lazer, At this moment, I will say as long as going back to COP does not render your original asylum claim ridiculous, you should be approved maybe a little bit later. My situation is a bit different from many of you, since the condition of my COP changed and it changed after my GC approval...

my citizenship interview experience (donnt go to COP)

Thankful, I think Lazer was asking what IL district (there are actually at least two districts, I believe Chicago belongs to Northern IL) thinks about "examination" vs "review". It is better to go to PACER and look for the rulings in your district, provided of course, there is no rulings in...

my citizenship interview experience (donnt go to COP)

It looks that I missed the debate.:D Lazer, there are a number of those cases in each district. Remember, you have to demonstrate continued fear of persecution when GC is approved. USCIS assumes you do when they approved your case, as most of those cases skipped interview. However, if...

    Am I Eligible?

Yup, you do not have to be persecuted by the government, but you have to have evidence that the government tolerates the persecution.
