Could anybody please put the phone number of Newark Asylum office at Lyndurst NJ? I want to call them to find out about my case status. I would appreciate it. thanks.
 
201-531-0555. They may ask you a few questions to verify your identity and then tell you your case status. It used to be the case a year or two ago. Not sure if rules have changed. Good luck.

thanks a lot. I called them today, they said that they can't give any information over the phone, and said that i can send the fax for status inquiry.

A fax is worth a try. I had faxed status requests before and I received a reply within a week or two. When they write you back, you will actually know the name of the AO that has your file. After I knew who it was, I would call her extension once a month to find out the status. :) It SUCKS to have to take a day off just to find out your status. I don't believe you can make INFOPASS appointments for the Asylum office but I could be wrong. I think you have to show up on a Friday morning for status inquiries. Most of the time, the IO's are not around on Friday's as it's supposed to be an administrative day and interviews don't usually take place. Again, that's what the procedure was a few years ago.
