as per the law, the requirement is not to have a trip longer than 6 months and i am trying to do that for a period of 2 years. even if i do not have a approved n470, i am still working for the same company.....

Out Of India : October 2006 for 3 weeks
May 2007 - Jul 2007 for 3 months (kept my apartment)

I would recommend carrying pay stubs and a EVL from ur current employer. if possible carry a letter from your lawyer explaining the rule of changing jobs after 6 months.
My I485 is pending since 2 years and i travelled on AP in Dec. While coming back thru Chicago, i had to face a very tough time with many questions. They even asked me abt my lawyer which i do not have since i changed jobs using AC21.
Has anyone faced similar issues. I might have to travel again...
