    When to apply for EAD

I think you can't apply more than 120 days before expiry.

One of the funnier posts. Good one. It's interesting how people use humor to cope with difficulties... :)

    Question about Finger Print

I got my 485 approved without FP being renewed. See my signature. I know that quite a few others also got approved this way. They may send a further notice for biometrics after approval. Sometimes they send the FP notice when they're ready to work on your case. So there are no hard and fast rules.

    G28 for EAD

If you send in a G28, it means you're not using you attorney any more and that the USCIS will deal with you directly for your case. In short, it's typically used by people who want to fire their attorney and want to represent themselves.

This is awesome. It's too late for me to save money, though!

    get F1 after 485 pending

I'm surprised to hear you say that. Since it's for a future job offer, he doesn't need to do squat till the 485 actually gets approved. Even after that, there is no explicit rule saying that he needs to take up the job.

    get F1 after 485 pending

It's almost guaranteed to be denied. There is a rule that F1 will be denied to anyone who shows an immigrant intent or could be a potential immigrant. Filing for I-485 is a very clear demonstration of immigrant and an F1 will be automatically denied. What you could do is use your AOS and go to...

    EAD for secondary applicant?

Why don't you read the needed document list? The EAD application is quite user friendly and I've used it four times without any trouble.

    HELP!! - Received RFE

An RFE doesn't mean they're denying your case. Stop biting your fingernails! ;) Wait to see what they're asking for and submit the docs requested. As simple as that. No need to worry, unless your case is fraudulent! :)

    EAD filing doubts!

Yes. And it's a good idea too, if you're paying for it yourself. You don't need to have an EAD or AP unless you plan to use them.

Travelling on health issue ..pls advice

Hey, don't post the same question in multiple forums. It's impolite on your side and annoying to the others. (Said without malice...)

    Question on Lawfirm issue

Make sure you get a copy of all docs related to your case. At this point, you can't really do much as they haven't sent an RFE or revocation letter. But it'll be wise to expect some sort of scrutiny from USCIS and try to be prepared to file a response which will prove that yours is a bona fide...

Travelling on Health Issue Pls help

If your company is sending you on official business to India, that's perfectly legal. No issues. Work related travel is bona fide. If they revoke your H1, it *could* trigger an RFE for your 485. Also, H1 and 485 are independent of each other. H1 is for present and 485 is for future. So...

Help. Did I go OOS anytime?

In that case, your H1B status and pay stubs matter not at all. P.S. It's AOS for Adjustment Of Status, and not OOS.

    Finger Print and Advance Parole

Postponing FP is ok, though you can't be sure of when they'll give you the next date. Technically you should be permitted to enter the country, as long as your AP is valid. Also AP doesn't give you the status, it's your pending I-485. Hence the AP expiring two days after entry doesn't mean that...

For all those who are apporved

I saw one LUD on 02/03, which was when a whole lot of others also got LUD's, following the new 180 rule for the NC memo. Other than that, nothing.
