Friends,

I have files my EAD online. I will be sending my supporting document today.
Do I need to send G28 as I filed EAD myself?

Thanks
Sunny

G28 is for somebody else representing you (i.e. an attorney). It doesn't apply to your situation.

jk0274 thanks for the reply. If I don't send G28(Representing myself) then who will get the EAD, me or my lawyer?

Thanks
Sunny

If you send in a G28, it means you're not using you attorney any more and that the USCIS will deal with you directly for your case.
In short, it's typically used by people who want to fire their attorney and want to represent themselves.

That's not quite right. A new EAD application is a new application in the eyes of USCIS. It will be treated separately from the I-485 (even though it's based on a pending I-485, it's a separate application). So you don't have to include a G-28 to 'fire' your lawyer because, as far as USCIS is concerned, there is no lawyer. You are assuming that a lawyer who attached a G-28 to the original I-485 application will be responsible for any I-765/I-131 filed later by the applicant - this is absolutely not the case.

Clarification: A G-28 has nothing to do with the I-765.
If an applicant used a lawyer to file the I-485 and later wants to not use the attorney and wants to deal directly with the USCIS, he will file the G-28, revoking the authority given to the lawyer to represent him.
Pretty much what I said earlier, except that the G28 is NOT related to EAD.
