So, I called TSC on a whim this morning, partly because I was bored out of my mind, partly because I thought it was about time I tried to stir things up a little bit.
I called the 1-800 number, talked to the first tier (non-Fed) person, who obviously could not help me, and put me on hold and apparently transfered me to TSC directly.
There was some music briefly and then a recording "Your estimated wait time is between five and ten minutes" repeatedly again and again, no pause and no music in between.
Five to ten minutes later....
USCIS, how can I 'elp you? (female - in a heavy east Nu Joyzee accent)
I have a pending I-485 case with you. I want to find out what happened to it?

It says the same thing it has been saying for months now.
That's probably because there has been no update.
