    Never Registered for Selective Service

Ah, I thought you had to register until and including the age of 26, but I just saw you have to register between 18 and 25 years of age.

Interesting. Makes sense. But, I guess they took his word for it :)

Working overseas for extended period of time: Implications of re-entry form/ I-131

You can freely travel for short trips. If you plan to start work already, just make sure someone checks your post and sends you your permit using the safest method possible, or if you plan on returning to the US soon after starting the job, you can get the permit there. All of this is moot if...

Getting new green card through marriage after giving it up

Austria is quite difficult about dual citizenship. They're stuck in the 1800s with regard to nationality law (like Germany and the Netherlands, which are are slightly more liberal but not by much). The OP has to prove strong ties to both Austria and Germany to show a need to have both...

First U.S. Passport for my child and marriage certificate

You don't need to be married to transmit citizenship under the Child Citizenship Act, if I'm not mistaken. It's possible a novice officer requested it, and was overruled by a supervisor?

    Never Registered for Selective Service

Was he a non-immigrant (visitor, student) when he entered until his 27th birthday? If so, he didn't have to register. If he DID have to register, Is he over 31? If so, he can write a letter that he was unaware of the requirement, and should be fine, though a difficult case officer could cause...

Renewing passport while asylum is pending

Well, I would avoid renewing your passport if your country will find out you applied for asylum. It might destroy your chances of visiting the country after you become a US citizen, as they might have you in a database of persona non grata, or even allow you in and then persecute you.

    VISA Information for Countries

BTW, at some point about ten years ago, you could visit Croatia and Hungary (and maybe Slovakia?) with an RP visa free as well. I visited Croatia with it before it was in the EU, and I had an RP plus Schengen residence permit (though I did not show them my residence permit). They were a bit...

What is the benefit of getting an Entry Visa versus Tourist Visa for India?

An entry visa allows change of status in India, and extensions as well. Tourist visa will not allow either. If 'm not mistaken, the Entry visa might only require registration after 6 months, vs 3 months with the tourist visa.

    VISA Information for Countries

It's just an entry stamp for a visa-waiver entry. You can leave and re-enter the same day and you'll just get another stamp. You legally cannot go to countries that require visas for RTD holders (Spain and France), so entry to Andorra would also technically be disallowed. People on this board...

    VISA Information for Countries

If you have a French Schengen visa, you are golden. You can enter Spain without any problems as others on this forum will attest. Even consulates can be difficult. I've attached Timatic information for a sample flight to and from Madrid with an RTD and French Schengen visa and it says you are...

Yup you can go back and forth as much as you like. If you do, you will probably never have to show the permit to anyone.

Traveling Outside the US As Asylee applicant ,Asylee,LPR through Asylum

Things are also different for derivative asylees. Much more leeway to travel, renew, etc, depending on feasibility and level of comfort.

Working overseas for extended period of time: Implications of re-entry form/ I-131

It's not a big deal. Fill in what you know. Unless you put North Korea or Iran, I doubt they will care.

You can call them a couple of days before to ask about it, and they might push it through.

    Green card for marriage

Yes of course you can travel freely, but you need to check your mail in Indonesia (or somebody has to), and will have to go to the embassy or consulate when they call you in for an interview.
