how long do you think it would take on average at Nebraska ? the USCIS sites says 7-12 months . regarding the i-693 check my reply above . i filed for i-485 on may 1st , i-693 signed on July 15 that means its valid through may 15 2022 .

but some country might not accept RP regardless . i agree the one year validity for RTD is not practical and really restrict your travels . asylees/refugees in other countries can get a travel documents valid for 5+ years .
if they are non citizens they do no need SS cards , you can obtain a letter from the SSA if a government agency asked for SSN
