I-485 issues: Which I-94 # to use for I-485 application?

Dear all,

Appreciate if you guys can tell me what is the I94 number we should use for Question 23a on I-485.

Is it the new I94 card after asylum or the number on electronic I94?

The questions relate to my arrival. So does that mean we have to use the CBP website one?

Pls help.
 
Also need a clarification to another question:

Have you ever applied for any kind of relief or protection from removal, exclusion or deportation?

Should we answer YES because we applied for protection from deportation when we applied I589?
 
- the i-94 number for your last entry (electronic i-94) not the asylum one .
- for the second question i answered NO , i was granted asylum through an asylum office .
 
When I applied for GC, I had the same concern, so I called USCIS, they told me that I should put the I94 from asylum for that question, but I need to attach a copy of any previous I94. However, I don't think this question is critical, especially if you attached a copy of all the I94 you have.
 
I used the I-94 from my last entry when I came back from Mexico on RTD after receiving asylum. That’s the only I-94 I had and also sent a copy along. I don’t think anyone even bothered to look. All asylee grant information is in the RAPS database which the uscis officers can verify during adjudication. I’m not even sure why they ask for all the paperwork. This was a few years ago when I applied for GC.
