    Absolute minimum requirements for naturalization?

I got my greencard in october 2006 but now I'm not sure I want to stay in the US. I would like however to have the option of getting naturalized four years for now when I become eligible so I can have my options open if I ever wanted to come back. My question is more about what would be the...

Well, he can check to see if the name has cleared. If it has, I think his I-485 should go pretty fast.

If you are not in a hurry you can probably save your $1000. You should hear from your I-140 in a month or so, and looking at the current trend I-485 are going very fast. But hey, paying $1000 almost guarantees you to get the green card in the mail in a month.

Card received! And finally today I got the card and the welcome notice in separate letters. My card is totally underwelming on the front. All the name, picture, fingerpring seem to have been badly scanned and yanked in there with plastic. It has actually been printed on top of the GC...

Just a quick update about my approval. I got more emails yesterday. So far I've got a total of 3 different notifications. Below is the actual text showed in the emails/ online case status. 10/24/06: "On October 24, 2006, a welcome notice was mailed for this case. If 30 days have passed and...

NSC vs. TSC - What's your status?

NSC and TSC seem about the same for I-485s, not so much for I-140. At any rate you should have your greencard pretty soon.

What to do with stapled I-94's after greencard approval?

I just got my greencard approved and I was wondering what should I do with my I-94 that I have stapled in my passport. Should I turn it in next time I travel abroad? or I can simply toss it out. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

13 days! not that bad. Seems like NSC its pretty damn fast for concurrent filers once you get through the I-140 hump.

This 6 month thing is a fallacy. Obviously your new permanent resident status is for permanent employment with your sponsoring company but its not written anywhere how 'permanent' this employment has to be, and how long you should be employed by your employer. I assume no one expects you to work...

Yeah, I think you should hear from them soon. People don't seem to get LUDs in their 485s before approval. It's directly approved.

I'm not sure if I understand your question but in the I-485 phase the USCIS does not care about how long you worked, they mainly care that you were never out of status in the past. You should be fine. Maybe you'll get your approval tomorrow!
