I got a LUD for my wife and me (I-485) today. Last week I did an infopass and I was in name check at the time (see details below).
I wonder if that means I'm out of name check of if this kind of LUD just happens.
Anyone knows the meaning of this?
Many thanks!
I've read this forum extensively and can’t find the answer to my question:
I'm on an H1 that's expiring on December 5th 2007. I have an AP (I haven't used it) that's expiring in September and that I intent to renew. I have 2 questions:
* If I don't re-enter the country on AP before my H1...

I'm curious as to whether other government are actually being asked to cooperate. I personally doubt it...
One thing you need to realize is that you are not in control and while at time you can get things moving through an infopass if you're our of "normal processing timelines", it may be premature to stress over your case just yet.
Also, one thing that always help others in answering your...
I wonder. Has anyone ever tried to know what happens with their name check through a personal connection at the FBI?
I know a few people in federal law enforcement and am considering pinging these resources.
Any personal stories to share
It should not. Your husband's visa is a dual-intent visa (immigrant and non-immigrant) and is the one that matters. He could not switch to an F1 (but you can) because you can’t apply for permanent immigration benefits form an F-1.
With the F-1, until EAD, you'll be restricted to on-campus work.
It means you name check is complete. The FBI forwarded the results to USCIS and they will make a decision. Not sur ehow long it will take, but it shoudl not be too long.
