Congratulations tmacynt
I understand your anguish. In general, it would take about 3 weeks or so for you to get the plastic card in hand. The way the process seems to work is that after stamping the papers at the local office it goes back to Vermont Regional Processing Center for issuance of...
Hello Pibo
Yes, she does work. We did carry employment letter for both of us. We did carry the pay stubs for both of us. I think they did ask about the employment letter. If we did not have it then I dont think it mattered, but we had prepared for every possibility.

Hello Pibo
I am sorry but I had missed your querry.
In general, all the questions were directed towards both of us. Rather, they were mainly requests for the documents. The only question as such was like are you both older than 26 years (?). I did not understand the significance of the...
Hello TMACYNT
After reading your post and some other posts, I find I have been fortunate.
I had taken my lawyer with me for the interview as I did not want to go through any hassle of this kind. Please check my detailed post after my interview in "Transferred to Hartford" forum.
After the...

Finally, this morning (3/02/2005) we went to Hartford USCIS for interview at 09:25AM.
We had taken our lawyer with us. My case is AC21 with Spouse 245i (LIFE Act availee).
The officer mentioned in the letter was DA0#1 but from my experience I can almost confirm that this...
Hello Janannwill,
I had tried this three times, but I did not get any reply. Only once in late October, they had sent an acknowledgement that they were going to do something. But nothing happened.
But then, as I have said earlier there is no logic, that works. So trying everything is good...

Hello 485_applicant1,

1. You may see it at case status online web site.
2. You may get letter from USCIS indicating the transfer.
3. Your attorney will get ltter from USCIS indicating the...
Hello Pibo
It is almost certain that when you get anything on your case your attorney will certainly get copy of it, if you have an Attorney attending to your case(In EAD case you will get the card and he will get the approval notice). Postal delay could cause a couple of days delay in delivery...
Wish you all the Best, edvtorres
Let me congratulate you on getting the interview letter.
I think they would have instructed in the interview letter as to what you need to bring. If your case is empoyment based then your tax returns for last 3 years will be required and not your employers...

Hello Maybesomeday,
All they needed to see was my I-485 notice copy, I-765 notice copy and my current EAD copy. Although, I had carried almost all the notices from them in chronological order. Requesting the officer worked!
My EAD was approved on 12/28/2004! The validity is from the original...
Got EAD!
Yesterday, I got my EAD (online approval said on 12/28/04). My Congressman Christopher Shay had sent a letter dated 12/16/04, received on 12/29/04. He had satetd that his office had contacted MSC and Hartford regarding my case. He kind of had a standard reply. You will get you EAD in...
Hi fathi718!
If I am not wrong then, all you will need is the receipt of I-485 application and I-765 receipt. There is no interdependency between I-140 and EAD. You can apply for EAD only when you have asked for adjustment of your status from non-immigrant status to immgrant status (green card...
Hello Pomino
