Hang on...it took about about 3-4 weeks after I filed an MTR to get a positive response. LUD changes sometimes are not accurate reflections on work being performed. Plus...every case is different..be patient !

I don't know the details to file for MTR since I had a lawyer do it for me. Sorry...but I do know that you have 30 days, from date of denial, to file for MTR.

Courtesy Copy is same as 797C...it should be fine.

The officer did not ask for I-140 when I got my PP stamped in Boston. Past EADs, APs, approved 485 (797C), 2 PP style photos (with A# and name written with pencil), printout of Infopass appointment and ofcourse PP should be more than enough. Do not stress...it's a smooth process.

You don't have to take all your copies. Like everyone else has mentioned, the dates on the AP allow you to enter the US on a AOS status. At the point of entry if you mention you have more than one AP they might take the one otherwise they will stamp the AP and make a copy for themselves.

My labor stated "Software Engineer" but when I invoked Ac-21 my title was "IT Architect". My employer gave me a letter where the job duties were about 90% the same as the original labor. My case was approved recently. I guess it all depends on how comfortable you are with the same title and job...

Get your infopass appointment...you can always cancel the appointment. I got the approval notice in about a week's time. That's what I did.

I got the receipt with the same text but my case (485 denial) was approved in 4 days from the date of receipt. But every case is different. I had an approved I-140..don't worry, your case will be approved...it's a matter of time only.

You have to get a Infopass appointment. It will tell you the date and location for the appointment. http://infopass.uscis.gov/

I now finally have the unimpressive I-551 stamped on my PP. It was a breeze to get it. 1. Appt. was for 8:20am today. 2. Got there at 8:00am 3. Was let in at 8:05am (they were allowing people only 15 mins before interview time) 4. Gave me the I-551 data collection form and the token number...

I continued to work on EAD while filing for MTR. According to the congressman's office and USCIS Vermont (I spoke to an officer), the employer is protected. You need to talk to the employer/lawyer to do the needful.

Totally agree...fight it out and make sure your congressman and lawyer understands the pressure you are under. I was able to continue working on the valid EAD because the employer is protected because of the mistake INS committed. Fight it out man...it may cost your friend a little money to file...

If I-140 was approved at the time of changing jobs and I-485 pending for more than 180 days then you can use AC21. Your friend can file a Motion To Reopen the case assuming you have a copy of the approved I-140 or have the receipt number for the I140. Technically I-140 cannot be revoked if it is...
