    how long for Plastic Card

My passport was stamped late Oct. 2002. I received my plastic card Apr 28, 2003, about six months later. Also from CSC, stamped in San Jose. The online message was changed to 'card ordered' last week, April, the 16th. So, it took about 2 weeks after the message change to get the real card...

I am not sure. Some of my friends just took the same photo taken for the I-485 application, and no problem. I took the new one since it's been more than 1.5 year from my application. INS people wouldn't check that, as long as your appearance doesn't change much...

    Urgent>>>>>> Gurus Help!!!

I think you should be ok, and attach the pay stub from your old company too. My case was worse than you (laid off two weeks after 485 filing) , RFE, and still got the approval. Maybe I am lucky. :) Just a little strange that INS only gives you less than a month to respond to the RFE. Mine...

I thik you can just use your own copy. That's what a few my friends did without any trouble. Your case is different from mine. I used the original one because only my lawyer got the letter, and I still didn't. Weird enough, I checked with the INS and confirmed that they had my correct address...

Re: Re RFE We just responded to the RFE to explain the similarity of my previous and current job. No I-140 has been filed from my new company, although we were parparing to do that in case the INS doesn't buy our argument (that would be painful...)

Re: question for ambit The RFE letter only asked for the verification letter from the employer, which sould describe my poistion, job duties and the salary. We prepared as much documents as possible to prove: 1. I was not intentionally leave my previous company. (Reduction in workforce...

You need: 1. I-485 Approval Notice 2. Original and valid I-94 (maybe attached on your H-1B approval notice) 3. Orignial and valid passport 4. 2 ADIT photos 5. EAD and AP (if any) 6. Driver License (for the security check) HTH.

Yes, I did. But I don't think that would make any difference. There isn't any restrictions on how many times you can move, the important thing is your current status when INS determins your case, as long as each move is legal, which in your case is true, becasue you have EAD. But again, only...

I would say that you have much better chance to get approval since you left your original sponsoring company after 180 days. You on the safer side comparing to my case. You can fully utilize the AC21 I-485 portability, as long as you can prove that you are working at the similar area etc. But...

I went to SJ INS office this morning for the GC stamping. It's absolutely true as some people posted on this forum before, I-485 approval notice is deemed as the appointment letter. I arrived at 6:45 AM, was the third place in the appointment line. Allowed to get in at 7:00 AM, got number 3...
