Gcwait000,
Looks like you on the homestretch. Its a pretty quick turn around from you TD.
I was curious. Are you in the EB1 or NIW category? Even so, my lawyer had mentioned that VSC did not commonly transfer cases to Newark. NJ was apparently not big on local transfers unlike some other...
Yes, you got company. I think there are a handful of others too that VSC can't seem to part with. Check for earlier threads. Perhaps VSC is emotionally attached to our 485 applications, or some of the officers like papers not paper weights as souveniers on their desk. I'm pretty sure mine's...
The only thing I can add... is go somewhat early in the morning. I renewed mine last month at NYC. I showed up at 10:10 am or so, made it to the counter by 10:45 am. They told me to come back the next day as there wasn't enough time for same day processing.
Congratulations!!! Must be all the more sweet after this long a wait.
After all, the "few weeks" you last heard from the IIO was accurate, huh!
Enjoy the moment.
Another August-er RD still around.
Kalluris... I heard the "few weeks" response from an IIO (thro' the Co. lawyer) in mid-Jan or soon after the adjudication hold was lifted. I'm still patiently waiting... for D-day.

Good news!!! Glad to hear of an early Sep RD approval. I'm optimistically hoping for an Aug/Sep RD house keeping approval wave. Need to be freed of this crap, pun intended!!!
Its good to see a bunch of approvals, mostly Sep and Oct cases. Always a ray of hope to see them pouring in like this. Though, I'm begining to feel like an old forgotten man with a RD Aug 03/2001. Do I have some company? Any old-timers still around that are hanging, and hanging, and hanging...
Ditto on the waiting....

Last news: lawyer contacted VSC on 11/20/02, case with reviewer, was told action should be taken in the next 7-10 days. Of course, thats passed already...
Whats going on... this just isn't...
Thought I would share what I found out about my RFE case. My lawyer called VSC to find out about the progress on my RFE response... sort of a nudge, if temporarily forgotten. Details: EB1, RD 08/03, RFE 09/17, RFE received by VSC 10/17. RFE was for employment info: letter from employer, tax...
An Aug filer and the wait goes on.... exasperating!!!
RFE issued on 09/17, received by INS on 10/17.
I have asked my lawyer to call and dig about the reason for the delay.
I have a similar situation. PP expires in Mar 03 and approval is expected any day (I've been talking myself into believing that for the last 3 months! RD Aug 03/01, RFE Sep02)
Taking a >6 month valid PP is advisable, especially since the plastic cards make take a while. I went to the Indian...

There were a spate of Aug/Sep RFE approvals about 7-10 days ago. It's gone freezer cold since.

Junfiler2,
Thanks. Indeed this does put my mind at ease. Sorry to hear about your long wait. INS twisted version of a cat and mouse game. I guess I can now settle down into a comfortable position... waiting for the green-cheese!!!

RFE response receipt message
RFE dudes...
VSC recieved my employment based RFE response on Oct 17th. The online message says some confusing stuff about 365-540 days processing time. If taken literally, seems absurd!! This is in contradiction to the sentence on the RFE notice that says once...
Krishnagc/Tanatan, thanks for the info. I was inclined to do it, but wasn't sure. This is good reassurance.
Tanantan, sorry to hear about you PP situation. Its scary to think what silly mistakes the consulate can make in a simple thing as passport fron page, that one has to live with. I...
Hey folks....
I have a slight, tini-wini dilemma. Would appreciate info from the wisened.
My PP is expiring (final) in Mar'03. I have received an RFE Sep17. Couple of questions:
1. Does the PP need to be valid for at least 6 months (like for most travel visas), when I go for stamping...
RFE on Sep17th
Received notice on Sep 23rd
RFE was for employment letter, W2's, 2001 tax return and last months pay stubs.
Response mailed on Sep 30.
Waiting....
same boat
I have exactly the same RFE's to provide to INS (2001 tax return with W2, letter from employer on job status and details, and last months pay stubs). The RFE was issued on Sep 17th, my lawyer got it on Sep 23.
As someone else mentioned, they are issuing a lot more RFE than before...
