I photocopy everything I get from USCIS (and before from INS) as a rule.

Always photocopy everything. I've done it forever, always at work. However, when once in 2004 I had not received an I-797 receipt notice regarding an EAD application, I wrote to USCIS and got their written reply back which basically said: "we do not issue duplicate receipt notices".

I managed to get someone (a living person) at that number some 5-6 years ago, to correct the mispelled first name on my green card application. I can't remember how I managed to do that, however. Sorry. :)

You MUST file an AR-11 Form with the USCIS within 10 days of your move. That's mandatory & in addition to notifying any DO that might be handling your case...

Just curious: mxc, Were you working for the predecessor firm in H1-B status from 08/1999 through 02/11/2005?

I would think your employer should be able to produce an employment letter in which the fact of the acquisition & the fact of your Feb 11, 2005 - Mar 01, 2005 tenure with the predecessor organization would be mentioned and/or elaborated on.

Actually, the "DHS USCIS" weaving gray line is shown correctly. These lines are weaving from bottom left to upper right. Just the torch is now pointing in the opposite direction (opposite to how it used to be before).

I can't tell. I would need magnifying glass in order to see clearly. I'll see what I can do about that (might borrow someone's glasses at work).

Yesn it is (Rev. 01/31/05) N. The whole letter has a messy feeling to it. The paper itself has an almost plastic mass appearance and feel to it, at least 3 (and I suspect even 4) different fonts are used, toner is scrubbing off printed text, fields/boxes don't look like fields/boxes on any of...

I notice (pun intended) how my N-400 NOA I-797C form has the torch that Lady Liberty is holding pointing towards the right side of the letter, i.e. it is being held in her left hand. I checked all other NOAs I have ever received, and those are all pointing towards the left margin, i.e. are shown...

Funny: when I looked around Case Status site, I found that my I-485 application (approved in 01/2006) has a new "Last Updated Date" of 02/2008. What could that mean?

It's around 3700 of 4500 in Track 1 now. Strangely, track 1 (which is supposed to be a faster one) is moving down by 30-40 per day. When my request was in the slower Track 2 originally, it was moving down by 300-600 per day?? A number next to mine but still in the "slower" Track 2 will...
